The works of the new leisure area of ​​Vila Germania are being finalized, a space in which the City of Nova Petrópolis invested approximately R $ 1.1 million, among federal, state and own resources, to provide a place of leisure and contemplation. The goal is for the community to have access to a wooded park to enjoy in the rest. According to the Secretariat of Planning, Supervision, Traffic and Housing, the work is carried out in two stages, and the first has already been completed and involved the opening and paving of Av. Guilherme Schwantes, surrounding lakes and execution of the rainwater network – interventions started in February 2023. Now, the company Dalfovo Transportes and Earthworks, winning the bidding, work on the conclusion, works at the conclusion. of the second part of the contract, with internal paving of the park (already finished), landscaping, installation of furniture, among others. In the first stage of the works, R $ 572,840.10 were invested, and in the second part, the cost is R $ 581,662.83, totaling R $ 1,154,502.93. The new leisure structure is expected to be delivered to the New Petropolitan community in August. What will have in the leisure area the Vila Germânia Leisure Square, as it is being called, is located on the court formed by Guilherme Schwantes Avenue and Mayor Albano Hansen and Leopoldo Pellenz streets, in a space of 10,608.38 square meters. The site is designed to offer wooded areas, with two water mirrors, preserved vegetation, public tours paved in CBUQ and internal sidewalks made in interlocking concrete blocks. In the background, back to Ernesto Nienow Street, a 1.90m stone wall was also built for delimitation of Lake Maior. Lake smaller has a 95cm tall contour wall. There will be banks and dumps for greater use of users. The Urban Park is close to the Ursinho Carinhoso Municipal School, the Basic Health Unit of Vila Germania and the Ruben Seibt Gymnasium.
