Meet Combú Island | Amazonian Experiences | Barcarena – Belém
We left Barcarena at 08:30 and went to the Port of Arapari that gives around 30 minutes along the road. Arriving at Porto we already boarded the speedboat hires especially for our River Tour. This is a more complete script of the amazing island of Combú in Belém do Pará. 1st stop: we visited a wonderful place called Ygara Handicrafts that is located in the piriquitaquara stream. With various products created and prepared by the local community, and an experience that is much sought after by tourists, the famous smelling bath. In the space we also take a small walk where the owner shows us all his cultivation of acai, Andiroba, cocoa and bees. The space also serves a delicious riverside breakfast (which has to be scheduled in advance). Navigating the holes, streams and rivers of the island we arrived at O Ribeirinho restaurant, located in Igarapé O Combú, a region that concentrates most of the island’s restaurants. With a standard structure and with a gastronomy that will be able to live a true immersion in the Amazon. The space has 2 pools, a Sumaúma giant that you will make several beautiful records and a deck for an amazing river bath. Leaving the restaurant our next stop was the House of the chocolate of dear Dona Nena, also located in the Igarapé the Combú, the space makes you feel in a real chocolate factory inside the Amazon, with flavors and typical performances of the region. You will have the opportunity to taste chocolates from 55% to 100% cocoa. The space also has a small museum with the history of space creation and a coffee shop that separates another gastronomic experience on the island. Undoubtedly the Combú Island has unique and 100% Amazonian scenarios, with the rich riverside culture on the banks of its streams, Rio and holes the ride becomes even more exciting. Tips: Best Time: March and April – Amazonian winter and July, August, December – Amazonian Summer; Better hire an agency and a place to make the most of the tour; Do not use clandestine vessels and guides, this can make your ride a bad experience. Lunch average cost: R $ 120,00 for 2 people; Media of chocolate bars: R $ 12,00; Breakfast average: R $ 38.00 per person; Average tour: R $ 120,00 per person in pre-scheduled groups or R $ 250,00 with exclusive group.
