Rural Tourism – What is it? (Presentation) ️ In the past decades, the rural way of life was stigmatized and seen negatively, resulting in the trip of many young people to urban centers in search of job opportunities and making family succession difficult. However, this mindset was changing as the new generations of the countryside began to understand the potential of agribusiness. With this, the rural environment has undergone many transformations that have been modifying the way of life of rural families, their way of work and their production. ️ Urban populations, in turn, have had a new perception of what is rural, discovering a desire to visit the countryside, experiencing the rural way of life and knowing the origin of the products they consume. In this context, tourism gains strength in rural areas as an opportunity to complement income for agribusiness families, and rural tourism or agrotourism emerges. Rural Rural Tourism can represent a strong contribution to rural communities, bringing numerous benefits when performed responsibly. However, if poorly planned, rural tourism can have negative impacts on the environment and rural way of life.
